Student Assistance Program (SAP)
A Student Assistance Program is a school-based, organized system for prevention, identification and intervention for students with identified needs that may affect school performance and healthy development.
The goal is to identify student vulnerability so that interventions can be implemented that will mitigate risks and promote positive student outcomes in the face of these risks.
Making Work Pay (Employability Skills)
This program is designed for individuals who are preparing to seek and or retain employment although everyone is welcome! We do NOT guarantee job placement. Instead, the program focuses employability skills.
The topics in this program may include:
Career planning & self assessment, job search techniques, writing winning resumes and cover letters, effective interviewing, diversity, zero tolerance, job loss and more!
Strategies to Overcome Obstacles and Avoid Recidivism
(SOOAR)
Version one: Life skills for the incarcerated
This program provides life skills and strategies to assist paroled prisoners with the critical period of transitioning from inccareration to community living and achieving the stable reintegration required to avoid recidivism. The topics in this program may include: Self control, building bridges, first impressions, anger managemnt, substance abuse prevention and more!
Financial Literacy
This program provides a basic set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make informed and effective decisions through their understanding of personal finances.
